![]() ![]() ![]() As a close-range focused weapon, the "Luison's" damage dropoff is extremely poor and its recoil leaves something to be desired since the custom Suppressor already takes up the Barrel Attachment. With a powerful 64 damage per shot, the ¨Luison¨ can take down any armor type in just 2 shots within optimum range. However, firing at an Operator already in a DBNO state will kill them. ![]() Described as being non-lethal, the "Luison" will always down Operators instead of killing them (unless they are the last Operator on the enemy team), allowing Caveira to enact her interrogation ability. It is designed as a powerful close-range pistol. The Luison is Caveira's pistol, featuring a smaller magazine capacity and customized Suppressor and subsonic rounds. The Luison is a unique variant of the PRB92 introduced in the Operation Skull Rain expansion. High knock-down power in close-quarter, but is non-lethal." ![]() ![]() Most importantly though, be sure to have fun doing it. Other than that, the fundamentals are still pretty much the same: flow of the level, item placement, enemy placement, difficulty-to-health-item-placement ratio, height/width ratio, etc. Probably the biggest changes in recent games I've seen are the use of high-poly models imported into the editor from modeling packages like 3d Studio or Maya and the integration of scripting into levels. ![]() Most of things you'll learn from making levels for Quake 1 are applicable in more modern games, so don't feel that your time will be wasted working with such an old game. There are a few others to mention, like Radiant, but I'm unsure of their support for Quake 1 at this time. you'd do good to stay away from that one.Īnd you've all ready found Quark. I was working with one called Qed before. Everything seemed fairly intuitive in it. I'm partial to worldcraft because it's the first level editor I actually enjoyed working with. Also, if you use this one, be sure not to use any of the advanced features like NURBS surfaces or any of the nice curved surface support it has. ![]() ![]() ![]() Just be sure to get the files it requires to make quake maps. Ogier is a pretty decent editor which has support for Quake 1 maps. For a level editor, there are several ones you could pick. ![]() ![]() You may get a mission or be tempted otherwise to take Bruges until you have secured the British Isles. Towards the middle of the game, it will be your primary troop factory. Caen should be built up into a formidable castle. ![]() Lose that and you lose your foothold in France. ![]() It is a rebel held town and can be quite easily defended with a small garrison at that town and a bigger garrison at Caen. You should also look to take the town to the west of Caen, Rennes. If you’re going to use mercenaries, you’ll need to have money so start building up your economy in your four British towns. This slightly hamstrings you for troop selection against the Scots but use mercenaries if necessary. You want all your British Isles towns to be cities. Our mini-army should take York first if possible because the Scots will also be looking to take it. Caen should be armed with a few extra bowmen for a defensive garrison until later. Gather together all available troops, leaving only small garrisons in London & Nottingham. It is very likely that missions at the start will lead towards you taking York & Caernarfon. Common sense alone dictates that eradicating the Scots is the key to the opening moves. England has an enviable starting position in that it can very easily have 7 secure & safe provinces very early in the game with a “beachhead” province in Caen. ![]() |
